Why are radiators cold?
The thermostat on the radiator senses the indoor temperature and regulates it continuously. This is why you may feel that the radiators are cold even though it is cold outside in the fall and winter.
Cold radiators can also be due to the fact that the outdoor temperature has just changed. It can take a while for the heating system to adjust to the colder weather.
Keep in mind that the radiators turn off and may feel cool if they have reached the set temperature.
Why are the elements cool at the bottom?
The fact that the radiator is cooler at the bottom and warmer at the top is completely normal. It has to do with how the heat circulates in the radiator. Do not cover the radiators with furniture, thick curtains or radiator covers.
Why are floors, doors, windows and corners cold?
Because of the way the house is built, it may be a little colder at floors, doors, windows and corners. But it can also be due to poor or missing sealing strips. If you think this is the problem, make a maintenance request and our property caretaker will check the sealing strips.
Why is it colder in the apartment at night?
It may feel a bit cooler at night because lights, TVs, stoves, computers and other heat-generating devices are turned off. We do not lower the indoor temperature at night.
There are sounds coming from my radiators, what should I do?
If you hear whistling or noise in the heating elements, or if water runs out of the element or valve, you should make a maintenance request. Your property caretaker will take care of venting the heating elements if necessary.
