MY RENTAL CONTRACT

The rental agreement is the legal agreement between you, the tenant, and us, the landlord. On this page you will find answers to frequently asked questions concerning your contract, sub-letting, lodgers, swaps and transfers.

Your rental agreement contains important information about your home, for example:

  • General contractual terms and conditions
  • Size (number of square metres)
  • Rental cost
  • What is included in the rent

If you have any questions about your rental agreement, please feel free to contact Customer Service.

Where do I find my customer number?

The customer number refers to your agreement number. The easiest way to find it is on your rental contract or rent notice. It is also on our Mitt Balder customer portal.

Your agreement number consists of a series of numbers, e.g. 12345-1234-12.

Where do I find my electrical installation specification?

When you want to arrange an electricity agreement with an electricity supplier, you will need to state your electrical installation specification. This refers to your street address and the Swedish Tax Agency’s apartment number.

You can find the Swedish Tax Agency’s apartment number on:

  • Your outer door
  • Your rental agreement, under the heading “Official number”
  • Notice board by the main entrance or in the stairwell
  • Your letterbox or post box

How do I register at Mitt Balder once I have signed the contract?

Mitt Balder is our digital portal for tenants, and only tenants of Balder have an account. (If you want to search for an apartment with us, you need to register with our business partner HomeQ, where all vacant apartments are advertised.)

Your account at Mitt Balder is activated the day after you sign your rental contract. You log in using your personal ID number and BankID.

You can use Mitt Balder, for example, to submit a maintenance request or view the details you need to pay the rent.

Are you renting commercial premises?

If you are renting premises for commercial activities, please contact our Customer Service or your property manager at Balder for assistance with login details for your account.

How do I end my rental agreement or other contract?

To help you through the process, we have prepared a guide for giving notice and moving out with important information to consider for those renting an apartment, garage, parking space, storage, or premises.

Please note that the notice period for our rental apartments is three full calendar months, so be sure to give notice in good time to avoid double rents.
